Here, you’ll be challenged in the classroom by our dedicated and dynamic faculty through the use of cutting-edge instructional technology and practices. You’ll learn to think critically about how course content can be integrated into a rapidly evolving world.

The School of Health Sciences is part of a university that is connected to the heart of the City of Charleston. Just a few blocks away, you'll find the Medical University of South Carolina, the top medical school in the state. Our students often find opportunities for experiential learning through internships, shadowing and research. In addition, the city of Charleston has a growing biotech industry.

We're also located in one of the best places to get active and explore outdoors. With so many parks, trails and beaches, you'll never have to look far to find a place to go for a run, do yoga or surf.

The School of Health Sciences is home to the Department of Health and Human Performance (HHP). We offer majors and minors in:

In addition, we offer a minor in Health Informatics, as well as Physical Activity & Lifetime Movement (PALM) courses for all students designed to facilitate a healthy and active lifestyle.

We offer several other experiential learning opportunities through research, study abroad, internships and student clubs and organizations.
